We are pleased to offer guided, 30 to 60-minute tours of the Sediment & Erosion Control (SEC) Laboratory with time for Q&A. See how we conduct full-scale erosion and sediment control product testing for TxDOT’s Approved Product List. Our team connects live demonstrations with practical implications you can use in the classroom or on the job.

State-of-the-art rainfall simulators, channel flume, and sediment control device testing facility
Live demonstrations of how performance tests are conducted
Examples of BMPs such as erosion control blankets, hydraulic erosion control products, turf-reinforcement mats, and sediment control devices

30 to 60-minute walk-through led by SEC Lab staff
Time for questions on testing, data, and field application

By appointment on Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Closed-toe shoes required
Dress for outdoor conditions (sun, heat, rain)
